An early get up to catch the sun rising over the East Coast of England at 06:35a.m.
Once there, it was impossible not to explore other photographic opportunities.  So my idea was to mix architecture and landscapes, using black and white and long exposure where possible.  The wind was howling so long exposures were producing "soft focusing images due to vibration etc.  I persevered during the morning and managed to come home with some presentable images.

The close proximity of the wind turbine gives the image a balance and high tech industrial appearance next to the building.  Shooting at this angle helps compress the subjects.  I used a 24-105mm Canon L series lens.

The sun breaking through to bring a new day.  A magical moment.  I try to make it to the coast at least once a year to remind myself how nature gives us these free gifts every day.
